January Update :)

So, this month of January 2010 has been awesome! God is doing great things in my life and @ TRC and our community! I am so thankful to live for and serve my God :) I count it a privilege!! I feel I have drawn closer to God this month than any other time of my life!! I am excited to see what happens the rest of this month and then in February, March @ No Limits, etc...

Before school started back up again I was able to go hit the slopes and hang out with friends and celebrated my Bro. Philip's Bday :)

Here's some pictures of my family and Mike Leon aka.. the orphan.. inside joke...lol. @ Heavenly Ski Resort !! I also included some pics of TRGYC's snow trip and Philips party last weekend!! If you did not go you missed out and need to make plans to attend next year, it was a blast! There's also a few from the other night just hanging out with friends :)

Now, unfortunately as of Wednesday this week I am back in college :( booo hooo... I guess i'll just have to be a trooper and think that after this semester is over it will be summer :) yay!

This song "God of this City" by Chris Tomlin has really just hit home for me!! It makes me want to go reach out to the city of Sacramento/Elk Grove,

every time I hear this song!! The TRC Sanctuary choir sang this song last night for our PM service!! The mood it projected was awesome!!

I am so excited to see what happens in the year 2010 in this wonderful city!! We started REVIVAL yesterday with Bro. Wells, the message was incredible!

Chik Fil A Sponsors Blood Drive

Well well... it all started Tuesday of this week La Chrisha and I both had great intentions to go jogging!!!... well we both got busy and then we got hungry and we both had a coupon to get a free chicken sandwich @ Chick Fil A, so we decided to go there! Haha... While we there we saw that they were sponsoring a blood drive for Thursday and if you gave blood you would get a free chicken sandwich, medium fry, and drink!! So we were like OH ya let's so do that :) So we had been planning all week to do this!! So today we both made sure that we were really going to do this...Crystal and Sarah decided they would do it too!!... so we (all) well some of us did it!! La Chrisha and Crystal arrived earlier than Sarah and I and were assigned to Bus 2 where they would donate their blood and when me and Sarah got there we were assigned to Bus 1, which was a bummer that we weren't all together!! Well anyways so Sarah and I get in our bus give them all our info etc.. and then we both had to go into these separate rooms and answers some questions. Well Unfortunately after all this excitement and week's anticipation of donating blood I wasn't able to because I did not meet the weight requirements and Crystal wasn't able to because her counts were too low! uh. So Crystal and I were bummed about that, but hey they still gave us a free meal and breakfast coupon that we can use later :)

But, Sarah and La Chrisha were able to donate blood!!

I am so excited and in GREAT anticipation for what will take place in 2010!!! I already have a feeling that this year is going to be better than ever :) It is always fun to sit down and reflect upon the past year... through the good and the bad the year 2009 was awesome, but I am glad it's over!lol. In 2010, I hope to reach out to this lost and dying world and win @ least 2 souls to God and read my Bible front to back!! Over the course of 2009, I felt like I have drawn closer to God than ever before, but in 2010 I am going even DEEPER into the water!!! Thank You Jesus in advance for 2010, a new decade to live for my precious saviour and King :)

Last night, Travis, Heidi, Colton, Jett, Philip, Kate, Crystal, and La Chrisha all came over to my family's house!! We had a blast! My sweet Mom made my Great Aunt Verla's delicious queso cheese dip, homemade salsa, and we had Enchilada soup (shout out to Tawni E. awesome recipe!). It was a lot of fun, we played games, watched documentaries, had coffee, cookies, and the best part of all is we had fun playing with Coco and Jett :) Here's some pics of us having fun:

Christmas Service Recap

This past Sunday December 20, 2009 The Rock Church held its annual Christmas Service and what a time we had! The sanctuary was packed full of guests and saints!! The choir sang @least 7 different songs! Such an awesome way to celebrate the reason for the season!! I want to give a shout out to the best pastor in the whole wide world and I am lucky to say that he is also my pastor: Bro. Myles Young you did an incredible job playing this past Sunday!! We definitely could not have done it with out you!! I also want to give a shout out to the best pastor's wife in the world, who I am also proud to say is my Pastor's wife: Sis. Sheila Young! What an amazing job she did organizing everything the decor was beautiful!!! I have provided some pictures below of the Christmas service. A few weeks back Pastor Young, along with the bus ministry coordinators got together and came up with a way, that TRC could help support the bus ministry in this wonderful time of the year!! They decided that as a church, whoever wanted to support a child from the bus ministry, would pick a name that had information about the child on it so that they could get a present for their child , then after the Christmas service the saint would have the opportunity to give their child the gift they had bought for them!! It was such a heart warming experience!!! Thank You Jesus for the bus ministry @ TRC, I pray that every child that comes on the bus, would one day fall in love with Jesus on their own and come to know him!! This past weekend Michelle, Chelsea, Alli, and myself made our way to the beautiful city of Monterey!! We left Friday evening and came back late Sunday evening!! It was a blast :) When we got there Friday night we just hung out @Sal+Ashley Tudesko's house... Michelle's sister. On Saturday we slept in had yummy oatmeal/wheat pancakes with strawberries and syrup on top with a mocha on the side! It was delectable:) After we ate breakfast we just relaxed @ the house for a couple hours then got dressed and cleaned up and headed for Fisherman's Wharf!!

Once we got to Fisherman's Wharf we went to Sal+Ash's restaurant previously known as Captain's Gig... which is now...Paulucca tratoria!! It's so yummy! I definitely suggest going there if you ever want some place to eat @ on Fisherman's Wharf :) Anyways it was really good Chels and I spilt the grilled chicken Panini Yum Yum!! After we were all finished we went over to the near Turkish festival where we saw many interesting things!haha. Then we decided it would be fun to rent a 5 seater surrey! So we did and was it comical! haha. We actually went for a 4 mile ride from Fisherman's Wharf to Lover's Point...but none of us had Lover's!haha.jk.. It was beautiful :) After the adventurous surry ride dodging things left and right we where exhausted so headed back to the house to make homemade pizzas because Sal+Ash have a pizza oven in their backyard!! Sal taught us all how to roll our dough out and then apply our ingredients! It was so much fun and so yummy... we all had our own pizzas and ate the whole thing!haha. So that's pretty much all we did Sat which was more than enough! haha. Sunday we pretty much just relaxed then went into Carmel to eat and then window shop @ my dream store Anthropologie!! OMW they have the cutest stuff too bad im not rich! haha. Once we were done shopping we went to a cute lil Coffee and Sweets shop and then headed to the beach where Alli decided to make her infamous.... Guy Catcher! haha. It was definitely a trip I will never forget!haha.

Well hello everyone!

I am just now sitting down to post about how much fun I had tonight or I guess last night since its now past 12am!! Well... anyways... Carly, Lucas, Stephanie, Kara Chavez, and I went to Golfland Sunsplash and let me tell you boy was it fun!! We started off with mini golf, Carly went first and hit the golf ball out into the grass we were all dying laughing and so were the peeps behind us! But thankfully she and the rest of us got better by the time we made it to the end which is the 19th hole! haha...Unfortunately we weren't able to ride the go carts because they closed @ 11pm and we thought they closed @ 12am so that was a bummer guess we will just have to go back for those sometime! haha.. Well... Today My Mom, Steph, and I started our shopping trek @ 10:30am this morning!!!

First we headed off to Costco where I wanted to go and buy a digital camera... btw... it was an interesting trip just getting to Costco from my house! It's only bout 15 min away.. well it was so interesting because for those of you who don't know I just got a new 2005 hyundai sonata, which has a manual transmission! But I love it boy o boy!, i'm starting to get the hang of it and got a LOT of practice in today which is always good! So anyways.. I stalled a couple times on the way to Costco! haha.. it was hilarious! We made it to Costco safely and looked @ the digital cameras because I have been wanting to buy a new one.. I ended up not getting one because I wasn't sure exactly what i wanted... So we got back in the car and made our way to Nordstrom Rack and again made it safely :) ... Oh I got a couple pairs of shoes there!...

and some Betsey sunglasses!

.. after shopping there for @least a few hours we headed over to go EAT!! Woho! My fav part of the day! lol jk. I of course had yummy Dos Coyotes, Mom had Pluto's and Steph had Panda Express it was funny we all had totally different foods!

Then after we were done their we went over to the mall next door and shopped around their for a while ,I got a couple cute headbands! Then when we where done with the Mall we headed over to Ikea!! I got a desk for my room, a throw, a couple pillows im going to put the extra curtain material on, and a curtain rod for my soon to be curtains that my Auntie Laura is making for me right now! I'll have to post my new and completed room once it's all put together! So once we were done @ Ikea we started getting the munchies so we headed over to a near Mc Donalds and enjoyed ourselves with a delicious soft serve and fries!! It was so yummy!! Once we finished there we headed home and stopped @ Target where I looked for a digital camera there as well but still didn't find what I wanted so we left and then made our way back over to Costco as fast as I could go and keep the car under control because Costco was about to close and I made the decision i wanted the camera there because it was the best deal... well I paid for it and everything and went to the merchandise pick up and they were stinkin out of the camera the display was the last one!! haha. Crazy Crazy so I had to go and get my $ back so long story short I ended up just ordering the camera online! haha.. but I had a lot of fun today and am so thankful for the best Mommy in the world Patti Felt she is so AWESOME!!! Thanks for making my day your Princess loves you more than you will ever know ;)

Last night TRGYC made a trek up to Hope Center Church in Redding,California where we met for the first Nor-Cal Youth Revival!!! There was much anticipation for this service and what God was going to do! Well... to say the least the service was so AWESOME Bro.Joel Buxton from Carson City,Nevada preached to us all about building our own personal prayer rooms in our lives!! It was a night I will never forget it was so neat to see the many lives that were touched including my own! I was part of the praise team that lead worship and am so happy everything went good!! The Holy Ghost was definitely in that sanctuary!!! As we sang Freedom it was so touching to say everyone praise Jesus despite the attack of the Devil!!! The Devil is on a hunt to kill and destroy us but he will not win we are going to keep pressing on!!! If you are reading this post and are maybe facing a hard situation in life and feel like giving up just keep your head high and remember...
NO MATTER WHAT THE WEAPON IS WE WIN!!! God is so awesome to love us despite of everything!! I am so thankful to have a relationship with the
One True Living God :)

Well folks I am happy to announce that today was my official last day of high school!
I had to take my last couple finals and then present my senior project to a group of school board members! All went well...luckily I knew all but one of the members on the board so I wasn't too nervous! I felt that I did a pretty good job on my presentation and am so happy to be finished!!! woo hoo!!! Once it was all over I was walking out of the class where I gave my prsentation pulled my phone out to call my Mom and there she was!! It was the perfect timing :) She surprised me and brought me balloons and chocolate and brought her camera so she could take a picture of me and the board... so we went back into the class and told them that I wanted a picture with all of them. My mom had her camera ready or so we thought and we all were ready and smiling for the camera and for some reason the camera did not want to work. So my Mom attempted trying it a few more times as we stood there with our now plastic smiles.. it was funny it really made me laugh!!.. luckily I remembered that I has my camera with me and so my Mom was able to take the picture finally!! haha. I love you Mom!! I am really exciting i'm now finished but am really going to miss all the teachers there and friends I have made over the years!! But I will be back to visit them all and give out senior pics and such and of course walk in the ceremony held in June!! I am happy that my parents decided to put me into public school, attending Pleasant Grove was a great experience for me and I feel ready for college! Thanks to everyone at PGHS for making the years GREAT and to my wonderful family for being there and pushing me throughout it all!! I couldnt make it with out you all!!

As I am finishing up my high school year at Pleasant Grove High School there is a lot of things rushing through my head... What classes should I take next semester... what do I want to major in.. who's hiring.. and on and on. Last year I took Photo 1 and really enjoyed it!! We took lots and lots of pictures and were able to mess with them on Photoshop CS2, CS3, and the Adobe In Design Program. I really enjoyed using these programs and taking pictures so I am considering majoring in the arts field to become a graphic designer of some sort. So as of right now i'm not really sure if this is want i'll end up doing but it is an interest. So to kind of help me decide if I really like this field I decided to take a graphic communications class at Sac City College where I will be able to practice using Photoshop again!!! Once school is back in i'll let ya'll know how it is going and if I am liking it thinking future plans or what not? Anyone have any career suggestions being that I like arts and am considering to be a graphic designer???

Your probably wondering what is she talking about of course murder is a crime... Well for my government class for homework over this weekend I had to write a one page summary of a bill I would like to propose to congress and it had to be a law we DO NOT already have in place so here it is... Tell me what you think?!?!

Is Murder A Crime?
Dear Congress:
As of the 2008 election which took place on November 04, proposition 4 amending the state constitution to require a physician to notify the parent or legal guardian of a pregnant, unemancipated minor in writing at least 48 hours before performing an abortion was not passed. For me I feel that proposition 4 should have been passed, because as a teenage girl myself, I feel it is a minors responsibility to protect themselves from getting pregnant. As a minor, teenage girls’ should reap the consequences of their actions by having parental notice. Although opponents say the exceptions offered are daunting and difficult and it’s too much to expect a teenager to report parental abuse or seek a judicial waiver. This point of view really stood out to me because for example a minor under 18 years old can not go tanning in a tanning salon, unless a parent or guardian signs a waiver. Tanning salons say minors must get a parental or guardian signature because the ultraviolet rays the beds release are extremely dangerous and can be harmful. This seems extremely strange to me that a minor can have her own baby killed without getting a signed parental or guardian waiver or even a notification, but a minor can not go tanning unless provided with a parental or guardian signature. The irony of these two situations boggles my mind, it is such a twisted mind set. What is our society becoming today? Will murder no longer be recognized as a crime? Please take this all into effect and make the right choice for California. Help keep teenagers safe by ensuring that a family member would know about the teen’s medical situation and be informed of risks to her health and safety.

Christmas Season is Almost Here and Am I Ready :)

Well my life has been quite crazy this semester. I am graduating midterm and am proud to say AM the only one out of my high school which is made up of about 3,000 students!!! So as you can probably tell being that I haven't posted in like forever except for the other day I have basically been a geek for the past 3 months going to high school, college, church, choir, work, studying till the wee hours of the morning and doing boring homework :( I said all this to say that I am utterly thrilled for both Thanksgiving and Christmas break this year!! I am sure that unfortunately my high school teachers will give me work to do over break being that high school finals are after Christmas Break which is just dumb, which is the reason they are changing it next year to be like college where finals are before break. Which really stinks because woo hoo I will not be there next year!! yipee.lol. Over Christmas break I plan on just chillin with my homie g's, eating, sleeping, partying, going to the snow, ice skating, spending time with my family, and just having FUN :)

This last Friday night was TRGYC "homeroom experience" where: jr.high, high school, and college and career get together for prayer, bible reading, and then we break out into our sessions... Well this particular Friday night Jr.High and High school session was combined. Bro. Tilmanshofer was our guest speaker and did a Fabulous job!!! He talked to us about Temptation, something that really stuck out to me that he said was that everyone deals with Temptation no matter how strong or weak you are in your walk with God ...and that Temptation is not a sin until you fall into the Temptation!!! Thank you Bro. Tilmanshofer that was a great message I will never forget!!! I am so happy to have the privilege to serve the most AMAZING, GLORIOUS, LOVING, BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME GOD there is Hallelujah!!! Well let me just start out by saying PEAK was so incredibly awesome!!! I will never forget the awesome life changing services!!! They were amazing!! I am so happy I had the privilage of being able to go :) I am definetely going again next year!!!! Not only was church awesome so was the food... Cracker Barrel (Biscuits and Gravy :) mmm)... Cheddars ( Crazy Nachos + Pina colada ....delectable ! )... Bluebell icecream!!!!.... Fudruckers!!. I Hop!!! hah that was a joke lol...Starbucks ( gotta say wasn't to fond of it likin Sargents ;0 ) It was also cool because I was able to meet new people and hang out !!! It was super awesome.. O yeah I can't forget Logans' Roadhouse and putting a peanut in Rachel French's curl hah. That was Great !!! lol... The elevator rides and running away from mean ol' mike Leon @ like 5am !!! hah! I am excited for next year and totally suggest going next year if you weren't able to make it this year or even if you did!! haha I am so funny!! lol. jk.

Sammy, thank you so much for being the greatest friend ever! I could never ask for a better friend. You are always right by my side when i need you. Whenever I am having a hard time you are there to help me in a heartbeat, and I am so thankful for that. We have also shared many, many good times together. We are either laughing so hard that our sides hurt or eating until we sick, or all the times we have gone through trashes desperate for cans and bottles so we can go to PEAK lol !!! Sargents Coffee

Well... exciting to say this last Saturday was my first day training at Sargents Coffee!! I love working there it is so much fun, but it can also be stressful because I am still learning how to do everything so it can get quite crazy!!! Of course you know riniging people up wrongly and dumping my mocha spinner all over the counter! haha. It was funny :) But I love getting to serve people and it's really cool to have church people coming in everyday!! So I willl be trying my best to become a better Barista everyday... pray for me!! hehe. Well... that's all for today just thought i'd let ya know how my new experience is coming about :)

Frisco!!!

For the fourth my family, Phillip, Sharaya, La Chrisha, Lucas, Sarah H, Le Sharon, Crystal, Winson, Trav, and Heidi all went to Frisco. We drove about an hour away to Pittsburgh where we got on Bart to Frisco!! The ride was very fun I have never rode Bart before it's pretty cool!! It goes really fast :) When we arrived in Frisco we were dropped off at the West field Mall there!! Let me tell you that mall is so stinkin awesome!! If you go there you definitely should plan taking a lot of money for shopping because that mall has tons of awesome stores! After we were all shopped out, we were all hungry and had planned to go to the Daily Grill. We had a 30 minute wait so we all just sat around and fellowshiped while patiently waiting for our food ;) lol. Let me tell you Daily Grill's food is very scrumptious. It was really funny because I was just joking around with Sharaya because we split our meal and we were trying to decide what to order and wine was the first thing on the menu, so of course I jokingly asked Sharaya what wine she would like.lol. We both decided we would get some sort of Chardonnay wine and our waitress overheard us talking and came up behind us and was like would you like it by the bottle or just a glass.lol. We both just started laughing and I was like I was just joking and the waitress was like O' I'm sorry I'm just really bad with ages. So yeah! The waitress made my day she basically thought I was 21 or older.lol.jk. Anyways after we finished are delectable meal, we made our way to the fireworks show, but of course had to stop to buy tights and leggings because us poor girls were freezing and of course the Starbucks stop as well. Well... we never made it all the way down to the pier because our feet were aching and it was freezing. So we just stopped and looked at the colored fog in the sky. We finally gave up and decided to make our way back to Bart to go home. WE made it and got on and were all happy to sit down. On one of the first stops there was a group of ghetto guys that got on Bart and they were cussing like crazy and just talking so foul we were all getting so aggravated I wished so bad that I would have brought my mace so i coulda went up to the dudes and squirt it all over them to get them to finally be quiet.lol. So as you can probably tell my fourth of July was pretty crazy!!!

Freedom Week 2008

Although I was not able to attend Freedom Week for the whole week I was able to make it for the last night!! First off!!! Bro. Donald Lance preached that night and let me tell you we had a Holy Ghost Party!!! It was so awesome God's presence was so real in there !!! Then of course after church we continued having fun hanging out in the gym : playing ping pong, air hockey, talking to new people, and just being crazy!!! I am so glad I was able to make it for the last night it was so much fun... If you have never been to Freedom Week mark it in advance for next year and come join us in fun!!! Woo Hoo Freedom Week 08' and I am now looking forward to going to P.E.A.K. yeee haaaa :)

Starting June 16 until tomorrow July 2, 2008 I have been attending Florin High School for summer school. Oh what a joy! I am taking English 12B in order to graduate midterm!!! Woo ho I can't wait :) I will be done with high school in January, but will still walk with my class in June!! I am very glad I went through the decision to take this class because it was very easy!!! Although we had to write a few papers and sit in class for 6 hours a day it was so worth it !!! The very first day, I was actually very scared because Florin High School is pretty g-h-e-t-t-o!!!lol. Even though I have the Holy Ghost and all I was still scared a little but not as bad as I thought it was going to be thanks to Bro.Wilson's awesome message he gave to us all Father's Day!!! Anyways just to be on the safe side I made sure that I had a little bottle of mace for any emergency that might happen. Thankfully as I end summer school I am proud to say that I never once had to squirt someone with the mace. I think that going to Florin High coming from Pleasant Grove High I now know that I can face anything that comes against me, I will not let fear overcome me and my life!!!

It was on a early school morning in May around 7:30a.m. when I was getting out of my car to get on the EGUSD bus because I was going on a field trip to Sac State! Well my day did not go as I had planned it to be. I got out of my car and had a lot of stuff in my hands so when i went to go close the door i didn't have the best grip. Well as you can probably tell I accidentely slamed my finger in the door :( I was in such a shock I just stood there for a few minutes taking into realization what had just happened. Underneath my nail immediately started to turn a dark blue color because it was bleeding under the nail so hard. It started hurting really bad so I just squeezed my finger so that maybe it wouldn't hurt so bad anymore. Well let me tell you that was not the case. Since I thought it was going to get better and the pain would just go away after a while I decided to go to the field trip as I had planned. So unfortunately I didn't tell anyone what I had just done. So I got on the bus and we left well... on the way to Sac State I started to feel really naucius and felt like I was going to throw up. Yet again I didn't tell the teacher that I was feeling really sick. I decided that I must do something, so I decided to lay down and try to sleep until I got to Sac State, at this point I didn't care what I looked like anymore so I curled myself up on the bus seat and just slept . Well we made it to Sac State and went to the room where the conference was being held, there we were served breakfast items. After I ate my breakfast I was still in pain and not feeling good at all, so I went up to one of the helpers and showed her my finger and asked her if i could get a bag of ice to put on it. Thankfully she came to my rescue and was able to get me some ice. Unfortunately the bag of ice did not last all day it eventually melted and wasn't of much help, well to make a long story short I wasn't able to leave the field trip because we took the bus and I couldn't find the teacher .... So on my way home I called my Mom and told her it was still throbbing even after I bought medicine from the student store @Sac State, so she told me to just hurry up and get home and that she would meet me there and then we would go to the hospital. I finally made it home and took got some more ice because the pain was just unbearable. Then I went and laid on the couch until my Mom got home then we hurried up to Mercy hospital downtown. We made it to the ER and then we went back into a room they got all my personal info and then took my Mom and I back into an actual emergency room with a bed and everything, it actually was kinda creepy. They took my xrays and said that I didn't break any bones or anything, so that was good.lol. Well... then my just had to wait for the doctor to see what he was going to do. About 10 minutes later the doctor came in and took a look @ my nail and said that he was going to have to drill a little hole through the nail with the needle, but it wasn't going to hurt. Amazingly it didn't hurt just as he had said. But what did hurt was when the hole was made and he pressed down on my finger nail to help the draining, so that later on the pressure under my nail wouldn't be so bad anymore!!! So after we were all done @ the hospital, I told my Mom that Big Spoon sounded really good and so she took me there as a little treat!! I love my Mommy :) Thanks for all that you helped me with Mommy, you helped me and my finger to feel better.lol. O yeah and I can't forget thanks Dad for letting me borrow a few of those Vicadin pills they were grrrrrrrrrreat.lol. jk. Hope you all enjoyed my wonderful story!!! ha ha. So one word of advice Please be careful when opening and shutting doors because I don't wanta have to see anyone suffer the horrible pain I experienced.lol. PEACE.

I AM ACTUALLY WRITING THIS AT TAWNIS WORK RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THERES NO MORE WORK TO DO REALLY.LOL. WELL... IF YOU CAN GO IT'S GOING TO BE A BLAST AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE AWESOME PREACHING AND THE FUN WE WILL ALL HAVE TOGETHER!!! WOO HOO!!!

Sorry i haven't posted anything new for a while, i've been busy with school and preparing for summer school and all!!!! Well... summer is approaching us all very soon and i'm sure i'm not the only one that's ready for summer :) beach trips, tanning, eating, sleeping, partying, going crazy for Jesus, staying up late, vacations, youth functions... Well... today from about 8-11 a.m. I had exciting star testing!! What a blast ...yeah right!! We took the English one today it was so long and BORING !! ahhhhhhh. But right now i'm posting from my photo class because after testing we had to go to 1st period for 30 minutes and then 2nd period for 30 minutes ...so i'm pretty much bored right now and thought I would let you all know about my Exciting day of STAR TESTING!! haha.jk. Well... thankfully i have half day today so i get out of school in 1o minutes!!! yeayeah!!
