January Update :)

So, this month of January 2010 has been awesome! God is doing great things in my life and @ TRC and our community! I am so thankful to live for and serve my God :) I count it a privilege!! I feel I have drawn closer to God this month than any other time of my life!! I am excited to see what happens the rest of this month and then in February, March @ No Limits, etc...

Before school started back up again I was able to go hit the slopes and hang out with friends and celebrated my Bro. Philip's Bday :)

If you did not go you missed out and need to make plans to attend next year, it was a blast! There's also a few from the other night just hanging out with friends :)

Now, unfortunately as of Wednesday this week I am back in college :( booo hooo... I guess i'll just have to be a trooper and think that after this semester is over it will be summer :) yay!

This song "God of this City" by Chris Tomlin has really just hit home for me!! It makes me want to go reach out to the city of Sacramento/Elk Grove,

every time I hear this song!! The TRC Sanctuary choir sang this song last night for our PM service!! The mood it projected was awesome!!

I am so excited to see what happens in the year 2010 in this wonderful city!! We started REVIVAL yesterday with Bro. Wells, the message was incredible!

Thank You Jesus for what you are doing in this city!

Chik Fil A Sponsors Blood Drive

Well well... it all started Tuesday of this week La Chrisha and I both had great intentions to go jogging!!!... well we both got busy and then we got hungry and we both had a coupon to get a free chicken sandwich @ Chick Fil A, so we decided to go there! Haha... While we there we saw that they were sponsoring a blood drive for Thursday and if you gave blood you would get a free chicken sandwich, medium fry, and drink!! So we were like OH ya let's so do that :) So we had been planning all week to do this!! So today we both made sure that we were really going to do this...Crystal and Sarah decided they would do it too!!... so we (all) well some of us did it!! La Chrisha and Crystal arrived earlier than Sarah and I and were assigned to Bus 2 where they would donate their blood and when me and Sarah got there we were assigned to Bus 1, which was a bummer that we weren't all together!! Well anyways so Sarah and I get in our bus give them all our info etc.. and then we both had to go into these separate rooms and answers some questions. Well Unfortunately after all this excitement and week's anticipation of donating blood I wasn't able to because I did not meet the weight requirements and Crystal wasn't able to because her counts were too low! uh. So Crystal and I were bummed about that, but hey they still gave us a free meal and breakfast coupon that we can use later :)

But, Sarah and La Chrisha were able to donate blood!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I am so excited and in GREAT anticipation for what will take place in 2010!!! I already have a feeling that this year is going to be better than ever :) It is always fun to sit down and reflect upon the past year... through the good and the bad the year 2009 was awesome, but I am glad it's over!lol. In 2010, I hope to reach out to this lost and dying world and win @ least 2 souls to God and read my Bible front to back!! Over the course of 2009, I felt like I have drawn closer to God than ever before, but in 2010 I am going even DEEPER into the water!!! Thank You Jesus in advance for 2010, a new decade to live for my precious saviour and King :)

Last night, Travis, Heidi, Colton, Jett, Philip, Kate, Crystal, and La Chrisha all came over to my family's house!! We had a blast! My sweet Mom made my Great Aunt Verla's delicious queso cheese dip, homemade salsa, and we had Enchilada soup (shout out to Tawni E. awesome recipe!). It was a lot of fun, we played games, watched documentaries, had coffee, cookies, and the best part of all is we had fun playing with Coco and Jett :) Here's some pics of us having fun:

Christmas Service Recap

This past Sunday December 20, 2009 The Rock Church held its annual Christmas Service and what a time we had! The sanctuary was packed full of guests and saints!! The choir sang @least 7 different songs! Such an awesome way to celebrate the reason for the season!! I want to give a shout out to the best pastor in the whole wide world and I am lucky to say that he is also my pastor: Bro. Myles Young you did an incredible job playing this past Sunday!! We definitely could not have done it with out you!! I also want to give a shout out to the best pastor's wife in the world, who I am also proud to say is my Pastor's wife: Sis. Sheila Young! What an amazing job she did organizing everything the decor was beautiful!!! I have provided some pictures below of the Christmas service. A few weeks back Pastor Young, along with the bus ministry coordinators got together and came up with a way, that TRC could help support the bus ministry in this wonderful time of the year!! They decided that as a church, whoever wanted to support a child from the bus ministry, would pick a name that had information about the child on it so that they could get a present for their child , then after the Christmas service the saint would have the opportunity to give their child the gift they had bought for them!! It was such a heart warming experience!!! Thank You Jesus for the bus ministry @ TRC, I pray that every child that comes on the bus, would one day fall in love with Jesus on their own and come to know him!!
